RADA ZIVKOVIC graduated from the Ballet School in Szczecin and Heidelberg (Germany). Her andventure with the dance has started when she was six. She learnt classic dance, folk dance and rhythmic. After she had graduated ballet school, she continued education in Classic Indian Dance School at Aleksandra Romanowa in Heideberg. After that she learnt in Berlin at Bhitiki Caterjee and than she had many outstanding dance teacher's in Śri Ram Bharatiya Kalakendra Dance School in New Dehli (India);at present from 10 years she has been a student of guru Uma Sundarem w Chennai (Madras – India). Rada (Mahavisnupriya devi dasi) conducts from many years classes of Classic Indian Dance in whole Europe. She taught at Dance school in Sweden, Italy and Germany. She carry on many workshop's in Poland, Belgium, Serbia and Montenegro.
She performed in almost whole Europe and India. Often she is invited by ambassadors of India to present dance on special occasions or banquets (for example Divali Feast). Classic dance Bharata Natyam she presents on private varnishing-day's in India. She is invited on Gypsy festivals where through Indian dance she shows that India is cradle of Gypsies. In 1999 in Belgium in the sequence of 3 months she appeared over 50 times in the large historic castle near Liege.
She also presented her dance on the Bienale of the Contemporary Dance in Poznan, where she danced during the display “Masters are presenting” for several times and at scenes in Lądek Zdrój during the Lądecki Summer Ballet. In 2007 she performed in several cultural shows to present South-Indian classic dance (Tirupati, Chennai, Trivandrum, Mangalore). A great experience for her was a performance for over 1000 people audience in the old temple Menaksi in Maduari. This temple only Hindu people can enter.
Apart from classical Indian dance Rada also specialized in its lighter for. This the movie dance – the Bollywood dance – the temporary form of the Indian dance. In India she danced for the Kollywood ( the film company in Chennai) for Saligramam and Presad Studio.
In Poland she dances with the Masla Sound Sistem Group and in many restaurants in Gdynia, Warsaw, Cracow, Stettin and Zielona Góra. She performed also during the premiere of “Kabi Khusi, kabi Gham” and “Kal ho naho”. She also dance the Arabian belly dance - rags shargam – the oriental dance. She had learned it from teachers from Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, Syria, in the dance school in Berlin, as well as during her journeys over the world.
It is worth to mentioned that Rada is a great dancer of the Gypsy dance. The camp version of this dance she knows from the birth and the stage version she's learned from older Gypsies women (from Maria Kalia Schmidt the sister of popular Randia). She performed during many fests of roman music in Gorzów Wielkopolski and Ciechocinek. She danced with the Gypsy Music Theatre TERNO in Gorzów Wielkopolski, lead by Edward Dębicki and with Don Wasyl Group and the Gypsies Stars.
At present she is cooperating with the Maxo group from Germany and the Stars of the Gypsy Stage. She acted to a few videoclips to song of gypsy hits. Rada uses in her dance elements of the dance of Russian gypsies, fragments of the choreography from the Roman theatre in Moscow and flamenco elements which she learnt from Marta Dębska.
She dances in colourful dresses designed mainly by the outstanding designer – Wanda Rutowicz.
She also cooperates with the Balkans Gypsies, every year she is invited by the Minister of Gypsies Affairs in Serbia to the Festival of the Gypsies Culture. She also translated during the poetry evening party poems of Bajram Haliti well-known poet and journalist from Belgrade. She appeared in many movies and TV shows in Poland, danced live in TV studio and at concerts which were broadcast in TV. In Montenegro she performed in a movie, she was often invited to the Polsat TV show 'The Health and the Beauty'. She participated in many photo sessions (leaded mostly by Waldemar Czerniszewski) and in India. In India she also cooperates with many film studios; she is invited to photo sessions and to participate in dance festivals in Puna and Mahavalipuram.
Privately she is mother of 8 years old Milan and she loves travel, music and cooking. She is a vegetarian and since 20 years she has been practising the process of bhakti-yoga. In spiritual ashrams she spent 8 years essentially. During her journeys to India she visited many saint places such as Vrindaran, Mayapur, Jagannatha Puri and other temples in south India.
Her other name - Maharishupriya – was given her in 1989 in Sweden and it is one of the god names that means 'True-love of Vishu'.
